This is why I think the wall is a good idea. Why do Mexicans flee Mexico for the US? Because the US is better. Because they can't thrive in Mexico. Their education and economy are garbage, and in a lot of areas it's not safe because of drug cartels and massive police/government corruption. Well, instead of holding the Mexican government responsible for the poor condition of their own country our plan is just open the border forever and we'll clean up their mess. We'll just treat the symptom for decades, or hell, forever instead of ever addressing the root cause. Right? Because we just have infinite funds and resources? Is that your plan? This is somehow our responsibility? Trump suggests hey maybe we should get some control over this immigration because a lot of human trafficking and drugs come through this way and the President of Mexico himself accuses Trump of being racist. Not like some Americans are hispanic and some Mexicans are white. No no no. Let's ignore that. It's racist to not want a completely one sided open border indefinitely. When is Mexico going to pay us back? When is the US going to benefit from this relationship? When is Mexico going to lift a finger to improve their own country so that their people don't have to leave? As far as I can tell, Mexico's plan is, just let Mexico be awful, let Mexican people go to America, and accuse Americans of being racist when they decide it's not their responsibility to clean up your mess forever.
